Loft ladders make a huge difference when your loft is useful but awkward to reach. We fit practical access systems through ProjectSmart Loft Solutions, helping you get up there without wobbling on a chair or dragging out a stepladder. Timber folding models are fixed to the hatch door, so the ladder unfolds as the hatch lowers and gives you a solid, easy way up.
Wide treads make them especially comfortable underfoot, which matters more than you might think when you're carrying boxes or moving Christmas decorations. We can also advise on hatch openings in different sizes, including widths of 550mm, 600mm and 700mm with lengths of 1m or 1.2m, so larger items are easier to take into the loft. It comes with an operating pole for lowering and stowing the ladder, and a handrail can be fitted on either side for extra reassurance. Tight hatch areas often call for a telescopic design because it needs less room above the opening and still feels strong underfoot.
